Booking policy
- The club operates on a booking policy to make it fair for everyone who wants to play.
- All bookings are payable in advance via our booking system (Playwaze). No cash payment on the day and strictly no gatecrashing.
- All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless if the club is unable to run a session due to issues beyond its control, in which case as the players will be offered a replacement session. Replacement session will need to be taken as soon as possible. We understand that things may change (due to injury, illness or transport issues) but please book only when you are certain. If players want to book well in advance to secure their places, then they have to bear the risk.
- Players who cannot attend their booked session are required to update their booking status (or RSVP) straightaway by removing their name from the attendance list on the booking system. (Click 'Edit RSVP' and change RSVP to 'Not going' so that the place can be released to someone else). Any non-attendance or no-show will create problem for the smooth running of the sessions and these players will be banned.
- There is no waiting list, as it creates a lot of confusion amongst players. The only way to check availability is to visit the booking system. If full, please check the event regularly to find availability.
- There are dedicated sessions for intermediate/advance players only, as specified on the booking system. These sessions are not suitable for beginners, improvers or low intermediate players and they may be turned away on the day. If in doubt, please check with the organiser / host before booking.
- Players may be asked to play in separate courts according to their playing level.
- Beginners or improvers must attend our training sessions first before joining the normal games-only sessions, so that we can get them started to play with others safely.
Additional policy, specifically for junior sessions
- Player(s) are required to wear appropriate badminton or sportswear to our sessions.
- Parents/carers are required to help their children to arrive on time with the correct sportswear and racket ready to play. It is also parent’s/carer’s responsibility to be on time for collecting their children and communicating any changes in pick-up methods to us. To discourage late pick-up, we may impose charge for any significant late pick up.
- Any aggressive actions (verbal or physical) towards our coach, staff or other fellow player(s) will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to decline access to anyone who does not comply with our policies. You will have no right to any session refund in this case.
- Parents/carers must inform us of any medical condition, disability, or medication taken by their children which may be relevant to the child’s safety on the badminton court. We will keep this information confidential and handle such issues with discretion.
- We accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to any personal items whilst on our courses. We offer no refund policy if player(s) are unable to attend any of their booked session.
- We reserve the right to cancel any session due to cancellation beyond our control or if the session is under subscribed. If this occurs you will receive a full refund.
- Parents/carers hereby give permission for us to take photographs, videos or audios during the lessons for educational or promotional purposes only.
